Listings of key arts contacts in the NT and other funding resources
Other Sources of Advice and Funding

As part of the assessment of applications to the Arts Grants Program the assessment panel will seek evidence of a solid support base and demonstrated knowledge of Northern Territory arts networks and infrastructure. Ability to demonstrate funding support from sources outside of the Arts Grants Program strengthens your application.

Reminder on Legal Deposit Requirements
The Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 commenced on 1 March 2005 to provide for the long-term preservation of, and access to, the Northern Territory’s documentary heritage. The purpose of regulating legal deposit is to encourage compliance. This is a cooperative and consensual approach to ensuring a complete record of the Northern Territory’s documentary heritage. Under the Legal Deposit Act all published documents or those available to the public on request need to be deposited with the Northern Territory Library (NTL). More information is available at www.ntl.nt.gov.au
Have you nominated for the NT Register of Peers?
Artists and arts workers from across the Territory, including volunteer Board and Committee members, are encouraged to submit a nomination for membership of the NT Register of Peers. Nominations are accepted all year round with an annual review to maintain the currency of information. The NT Register of Peers forms an official pool of specialist advice in arts development. Specialist advice may be requested:
- by the Arts Grants Board on particular applications
- by Government through working parties drawn together to address particular topics/issues
Register Members may also be called on to participate in Grant Assessment Panels for special initiatives outside of Project Rounds and other Panels including the Key Arts Organisations Annual Funding Program. Anyone interested in nominating is encouraged to contact Hania Radvan at Arts NT on 8999 7082 for further information.
Peer Register Guidelines and nomination forms are available here
Arts NT - Letters of Support to Artists and/ or Organisations
There have been a number of enquiries to Arts NT, from individuals and organisations, requesting letters of support from Arts NT to assist in applications to funding bodies. Arts NT cannot provide letters of support for individual artists or arts organisations as it may create the perception of promoting one artist or one organisation over another.
